Shipping Policy

Before placing an order, please read this page carefully.

Please note: Salotto I.M.D is proud of it’s sustainable and slow fashion approach. All products are made and shipped from the studio in London. All are made-to-order and are one-off/limited quantity items which are all unique and may vary slightly. The picture on the website illustrates what your product will look like and often is only a visual representation of what you will receive. It is ensured that there is continuity and consistency among the product catalogue displayed and the products actually provided. Products that are made using vintage/re-purposed/pre-owned materials sometimes may not appear perfectly new and any imperfections are hidden/placed as inconspicuous as possible in the design/construction process. Any notes will be added to the description of the product.

International Shipping

Shipping rates are determined by your destination country. All orders shipped outside of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland are subject to additional shipping charges. Any import duties and taxes that are charged when the parcel reaches the destination country, are the responsibility of the recipient. If you have questions related to customs charges please contact your local customs office. Salotto I.M.D is not responsible for any parcels returned for unpaid fees and will not issue refunds under these circumstances.

Processing, Delivery and Returns

Flat rate shipping fee of £9.00 is applied to all orders within the United Kingdom.

Salotto I.M.D works to a ‘made-to-order’ model, so please allow the current lead time of up to 3-4 weeks for your order to ship. You will receive an email with accurate shipping and tracking information once your order has been placed and we will keep you updated throughout the process. This is to signify the commencement of a contract between the customer and the seller.

Salotto I.M.D hopes you are delighted with your purchase. If you happen change your mind and want to cancel your order, please get in touch with us within 48 hours. Orders are not processed, shipped or delivered on national holidays. All orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or on a national holiday will be processed the following business day.

Items that are not made-to-order will be ready to be shipped within 5 business days.

For made-to-order, you will be notified once your order is in production after the 48 hours by email. Once your order is in production, it cannot be changed.

Salotto I.M.D’s quality is championed and every garment is thoroughly checked before shipping. Returns are only accepted due to a suspected fault within a 28 day period from the date of delivery. We cannot accept returns on the basis of sizing due to our made-to-order model and therefore we strongly suggest carefully referring to the size guide. Please get in contact if you have any questions before completing any order.

For any returns, all should be sent via a trackable postage service, as Salotto I.M.D is not liable for any loss or damage to the products while in transit. Before returning a parcel, please contact studio@salottoimd.co.uk and request a printable return form. Please ensure you fill out and enclose the return form inside the parcel. All original goods must be unworn and returned carefully in the same condition you received them, packed in the original packaging with tags attached. Salotto I.M.D does not cover postage and packaging costs of returns.

Salotto I.M.D offers lifetime alterations and repairs on all items purchased. Salotto I.M.D will not be held liable for any items that have been altered and/or repaired externally. Any items that have been altered and/or repaired cannot be refunded or exchanged.

You will be notified once we’ve received and thoroughly inspected your return and will let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 days have passed since your return has been approved, please get in touch.
