Measurement information

Before placing an order, please read this page carefully.

For our made-to-measure pieces, we will ask for your measurements before you place an order. Should you need more specific measurements or have an enquiry about our bespoke service, please get in touch.

Triple check your measurements before sending them. We are not responsible for items that do not fit because of measurements have been taken incorrectly. We are also not responsible for any alterations done outside of the Salotto I.M.D studio.

Take your measurements snug but not too tight. If you tighten the flexible measuring tape too much when taking measurements, the garment may be too tight. Corsets/stays by default will be smaller than your measurements.

Wear form-fitting clothing or undergarments to ensure accurate measurements. If possible, wear the type of undergarments you plan to wear with the clothing you are measuring for.

Keep the tape parallel to the ground to avoid skewed measurements. Take measurements in front of a mirror to ensure the tape is positioned correctly.

Bust measurement:

Stand in front of a mirror with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Hold the measuring tape horizontally around the fullest part of your bust. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground and wraps comfortably around your body, without pulling too tight.

Keep your arms at your sides and relax while taking the measurement.

To measure your under bust, wrap the tape measure around your ribcage just below your bust, ensuring it's parallel to the ground. Make sure it's snug but not tight, and exhale to get an accurate measurement.

Waist measurement:

Locate the narrowest part of your waist, usually above your belly button and below your ribcage.

Wrap the measuring tape around your waist, ensuring it's snug but not tight. Keep the tape parallel to the ground.

Take the measurement while keeping your abdominal muscles relaxed.

Hip measurement:

Find the fullest part of your hips, typically around the hip bones and the buttocks.

Wrap the measuring tape around your hips, ensuring it's parallel to the ground. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.

Check in the mirror to ensure that the tape is straight and not twisted.

Size Guide

Please note that these are a guide to fit the following body measurements.

When in doubt, we recommend going up a size for extra comfort. Our brand redefines comfort with our oversized pyjamas, meticulously designed for a relaxed and roomy fit.

Embracing a contemporary aesthetic, the generous proportions provide a sense of freedom and ease, allowing you to unwind effortlessly.

We have tailored the women’s shirts slightly at the back for an extra flattering fit. They come with both elastic and drawstring so they can be worn on your hips or waist. A little extra length on the trouser is added to cosy up in or to get tailored to fit by us to make them yours forever.

If you're still not sure or want to get in touch about our alteration service, please feel free to drop us a line on studio@salottoimd.co.uk or fill in our contact form and we can advise on the best option and size for you.
